In 2020, domestic production of crude gypsum was estimated to be 22 million tons with a value of about $190 million. The leading crude gypsum-producing States were estimated to be Iowa, Kansas, Nevada, Oklahoma, and Texas. Overall, 47 companies produced or processed gypsum in the United States at 52 mines in 16 States.
